Investment casting (primarily silica sol process, also known as lost-wax casting) is the mainstream production method. These near-net-shape steel components are manufactured from various carbon steels, alloy steels and stainless steels through wax pattern forming, ceramic shell preparation, high-temperature pouring and post-treatment precision machining.
Different from ordinary sand casting steel, they feature three core advantages: high dimensional accuracy, high contour fidelity and dense microstructure. Complex irregular structures can be integrally formed, significantly reducing machining allowance. Such parts act as core fundamental components for high-end equipment.
